Trinity Lutheran guard Bailey Tabeling was nominated for Indiana’s District 3 girls player of the week honors.

Tabeling, who has averaged nearly 20 points a game this season, was one of 10 nominees for the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association/Franciscan Health Sports Medicine honors.

The Cougars are 16-3 and ranked No. 1 in Class A, the state’s smallest classification, going into a Thursday game against Floyd Central.

The girls regular season ends Jan. 28 and then sectional play begins. Pairings for first-round games will be announced Jan. 24.
