ISDH COVID-19 testing sites expanding hours of operation

The Indiana State Department of Health’s free COVID-19 testing sites in Jackson and Jennings counties will open for additional hours beginning Monday.

Previously closed Mondays, the sites will now be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday; 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. The sites are closed Sunday.

During the holidays, both testing sites will be open from 8 a.m. to noon Dec. 24 and closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.

Schneck Medical Center and the health departments in Jackson and Jennings counties have partnered to provide the free COVID-19 testing.

Individuals do not have to be symptomatic to be tested. Appointments can be scheduled online at scheduling.coronavirus.in.gov.

The Jackson County testing site is located in the former state police post at 721 E. Tipton St., Seymour, while the Jennings County testing site is in the Education Training Center, 1200 W. O and M Ave., North Vernon.
