Trinity girls hoops rises to 5-1

Senior Sydney Jaynes scored 21 points and sophomore Bailey Tabeling added 20 points to lead four double-figure scorers as the Trinity Lutheran girls basketball team overwhelmed Indianapolis Lutheran 69-36 on Tuesday night.

Kailene Cockerham and Liza Froedge added 10 points apiece for the Cougars as they pushed their record to 5-1 on the season with the road victory.

Froedge was the leading rebounder for Trinity with eight, and Jaynes and Emma Schepman contributed six boards each. 

Tabeling accounted for seven steals, and Cockerham passed off for 10 assists.

Trinity broke to an early 24-8 lead and was ahead 44-13 by halftime.
