Squatters arrested early Thursday morning

Six people, including five city residents, found inside a vacant home early Thursday morning in Seymour have been arrested, police report.

Shannon Kay Salas, 36, Autumn S. Scott, 31, Hannah Lynn Burke, 24, Lisa Kay Barger, 31, Zachary Tyler Hamblen, 20, and Anthony Thomas Sanabria, 23, all face preliminary charges of criminal trespassing, residential entry, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. Barger also faces a preliminary charge of false identity statement.

All but Salas listed Seymour addresses, while a home address was not listed for her.

The six were arrested at 2:41 a.m. Thursday at a residence in the 200 block of South Park Street by Seymour Police Department Officer Kevin Settle, who was assisted by officers John Armstrong and Derrick Shelley and corporals Jacob Florine and Adam Surface.

Residential entry is a Level 6 felony, punishable by six months to two and a half years in prison upon conviction.
