Jai and Monica Patton of Columbus are the parents of a newborn, Jai Dirk Patton II, born at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour.

Born Oct. 2, 2019, he weighed 7 pounds, 11 ounces and was 21.5 inches long.

Jai has three siblings, Lucy, Eli and Nevaeh.

Great-grandparents are Roger and Brenda Bowers of Butlerville, Jackie Meulen of Shelbyville, Jerry and Dottie Patton of Hope and Leon and Louis Lewis of Knifley, Kentucky.

Godparents are Justin and Kayla Roudebush of Brownstown.
