Six members of Seymour City Extension Homemakers Club met Sept. 12 at a Seymour restaurant. Doris Keyser was hostess.

President Nancy Hammond reminded the club that the county bake sale fundraiser will be at the Immanuel Lutheran School craft show on Nov. 2. Baked goods should be delivered to the school between 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. that day.

The bake sale funds the $500 scholarship that is awarded each year to a Jackson County high school senior pursuing a career in the health and human sciences field. Any county members that are available to work at the bake sale are to contact Vicki Tritle.

Judy Prince won the door prize.

The next meeting will be Oct. 18 and will include a trip to Franklin in celebration of the club’s 86th anniversary.
