Indiana Department of Transportation maintenance crews will replace a pipe on State Road 256 west of Austin on Tuesday, weather permitting.

The road will close to all traffic from approximately 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. between Thomastown Road and County Road 1025E.

The road will be open to local traffic only from Interstate 65 to the east and State Road 39 to the west until the point of full closure.

The official state detour is I-65 south to State Road 56 at Scottsburg (Exit 29) to State Road 39.
