Ivan L. Vititoe, 89, of Seymour, died unexpectedly at 3:15 a.m. Thursday, August 8, 2019 at his home. He was born on June 4, 1930 in West Virginia to the late Arie & Lucy Vititoe. He married his first wife, Edith G. Gillinwater Vititoe and she preceded in death. Together they had 6 children, Roger Vititoe of Camby, IN, Mike Vititoe of Morresville, IN, Edna Jackson of Camby, IN, Frieda Webb of Washington, Edith Coffee & Joyce Young both of Kentucky.

On July 5, 2008, Ivan married Virginia “Jenny” Williams Vititoe and she survives in Seymour. Step-children include, Ron Bohall of Seymour, Bill Bohall of Vallonia, Becky Watson & Angel Bishop both of Seymour and Lisa Mudge who preceded him in death. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren survive.

For several years Ivan drove a truck and worked as a mechanic. He then worked and later retired from Aricom as a machine operator. Ivan was also the minister of the First Baptist Church of Vallonia. His greatest passion was reading and studying the word of God.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 12, 2019 at the First Baptist Church of Vallonia with ministers Gary Dyer & Larry Robbins officiating. Friends may the visit the family on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at Johnson Funeral Home from 2:00-5:00 p.m. and on Monday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will take place at the Vallonia Cemetery.

Memorial Contributions may be given to the First Baptist Church of Vallonia.
