Susan Jo Macak, 74, died April 3, 2019 at Seymour Crossing where she had been a resident since September 2015.

Susan grew up and spent most of her life in East Chicago, Indiana. She was the only child of Bernice (Cox) and Joseph Macak, who preceded her in death. Susan graduated from Roosevelt High School in East Chicago in 1963 and worked at Purdue University, administration, in Hammond, Indiana until she retired. Her mother passed away in 1997 and Susan then moved to Seymour. She worked part time at Jackson County Public Library after moving to Seymour.

Susan loved traveling, old Turner classic movies, her pet dogs through the years, and family history. She is survived by aunts, cousins and friends.

No visitation or funeral service is planned. Arrangements were entrusted to Voss & Sons Funeral Service. Memorials may be made to Schneck Hospice at P.O.
