Stars top Braves
BEDFORD — Bedford North Lawrence defeated Brownstown Central 162-232 on Thursday at Otis Park Golf Course.
BNL’s Taylor Norman carded a 1-under-par 36 strokes for medalist honors.
KaCee Collins led Brownstown with a 51 while Ashlyn Fox shot 57, Lexi Satterthwaite and Hannah Hackman each shot 65s and Ashley Schroer scored 67.
The Braves will compete in the Mid-Southern Conference tournament on Saturday at Shadowood Golf Course in Seymour.

Cougars top Stars
Trinity Lutheran defeated Bedford North Lawrence 25-11, 25-16, 25-15 at the Bollinger Athletic Complex on Thursday.
Hannah Sabotin was 27-for-28 with 20 kills in attacks while Savannah Harweger was 29-for-29 with six aces serving with 25 points. Bailey Reynolds had 37 assists and Kamzi Gross and Kennedy Hoffman both had eight digs.
The Cougars (9-8) will face New Albany at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Bedford N. Lawrence Tournament.
GIRLS SOCCER
Eagles top Cougars
NASHVILLE — Brown County outshot Trinity Lutheran 11-2 and blanked the Cougars 3-0.
The Eagles controlled tempo and possession as the Cougars fell to 4-4. Trinity will travel to Christian Academy Tuesday.
Owls gut out conference victory
Seymour stayed perfect in Hoosier Hills Conference play with a 1-0 win against New Albany on Thursday.
Bailey Lykins had the lone goal for SHS off an assist by Addison Chandler. Kate Snook was credited the shutout in goal.
Seymour moved to 6-2-1 and 2-0 in HHC play with the win.

Owls blank Cubs
MADISON — Seymour won every point in straight sets in a 5-0 win over Hoosier Hills Conference opponent Madison.
No. 1 singles player Adam Berry, and two doubles team of Sam Schmidt and Andrew Levine posted 6-0, 6-0 wins.
Isaac Hardin was a 6-2, 6-2 winner at two singles, and Braden Handloser won 6-2, 6-1 at three singles.
No. 1 doubles of Will Rinehart and Brandon Hubbard came up with a 6-1.
BOYS SOCCER
Owls beat Bulldogs
NEW ALBANY — Seymour pulled out a 3-2 Hoosier Hills Conference win over New Albany on Thursday.
Daniel Hartman, Blaine Spivey and Evan Baurle each had goals for the Owls. Hartman and Tyler Penegar each had assists, and Patrick DeBoor recorded two saves in goal.
The Owls improved to 6-2 and 3-0 in HHC play with the win.
