Northbound lanes of Interstate 65 closed south of Uniontown

Updated at 3:46 p.m.: Police are preparing to reopen the left northbound lane of Interstate 65 nears the 39-mile-marker as clean up continues after a wreck involving two semitrailers.

Initial report at 12:15 p.m.: Emergency personnel are at the scene of a personal-injury wreck involving two semitrailers in the northbound lanes of Interstate 65 near the 39-mile-marker in Jackson County.

Both northbound lanes are closed at the Crothersville exit at this time, according to Sgt. Stephen Wheeles with the Indiana State Police.

According to reports from the scene, the cab of the semitrailer was completed engulfed in flames and destroyed, but the trailer was not burning.

Only minor injuries are being reported in the wreck reported at about 12:10 p.m. today.
