Beginners can learn to knit or crochet and advanced yarn-crafters can work on their projects together during Knit & Crochet Night at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Jackson County Public Library, 303 W. Second St., Seymour.

This free program is led by information services clerk Heather Robinson and meets on the second and fourth Thursdays of most months.

Beginners should bring short size 7 or 8 knitting needles or a size J or K crochet hook and a ball of regular worsted weight yarn to begin to learn either craft. Experienced yarn-crafters may bring their current projects or try new patterns furnished to the group.

Another session is set for 6:30 p.m. March 22 at the same location.
