The Jackson County Public Library offers Paws to Read, a free 30-minute program created with struggling readers in mind.

Children will spend time with one of the library’s gentle canine friends building confidence and increasing fluency when reading aloud.

The program is for kindergartners through fifth-graders at 4:30 p.m. March 8 and 22 and April 5 and 19 at the Seymour Library, 303 W. Second St.
