Russanna “Rusty” Faye Smallwood, 56, of North Vernon, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at her home with her son by her side. She was born October 6, 1961, in Seymour, to Thomas A and Donna Kay (Foster) Woodson.

On March 1, 1980, she married Thomas E. Smallwood; he preceded her in death on July 5, 1991.

She is survived by her parents; children, Thomas E. Smallwood, II and Jacob Brooks; sister, Tina Mays; and several aunts and uncles.

She is preceded in death by her husband; and companion, Tod Potts.

Funeral services will be at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Sunday, January 14, at 1 pm with Rev. Thomas Woodson officiating. Burial will follow at Smallwood Cemetery in Jackson County.

Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Saturday from 3-8 pm and on Sunday from 11 am until time of service.
