Malahkai Asher Rayegen Clark, 2 months, of Seymour passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at his home.

Born Dec. 30, 2016, in Seymour, he was the son of Laura Clark.

Malahkai, meaning angel, and Asher, meaning blessed, will be remembered by his family as an angel and a blessing in his short life. Always making funny faces and smiling, his cousins would always fight over who got to hold him. Marybeth loved playing with her little brother and will miss him dearly. Malahkai’s uncle, a beagle named “Blue,” loved being around him and would always protect him.

Malahkai also leaves behind his older sister, Marybeth Clark; maternal grandparents, Melissa and David Wooten of Seymour; great-grandparents, Claudette Wooten of Austin and Melvin Clark of Seymour; uncles, Art, Erik, Sean and Nathan; aunts, Michelle, Kara and Olivia; and cousins, Gabe, Ethan, Mason, Ariel, Lucas, John and Noni.

Meeting Malahkai in heaven were his great-grandparents, Jane Hubbard, Mike Wooten and Mary Catherine Clark.

The funeral service for Malahkai will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Woodlawn Life Celebration Centre. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until of service.
