Southern Indiana Center for the Arts’ annual summer Friday Night Live concert series kicks off Friday at the Don Hill Amphitheater with Past Tense taking the stage from 7 to 9 p.m.

The duo performs classic rock ’n’ roll specializing, in ’50s and ’60s music.

“We enjoy showcasing local musicians and bands at Friday Night Live, and I’ve been told by so many people what a great venue we have,” said Darnell Dukes, the center’s executive director.

The public is invited to bring their lawn chairs or blankets, a cooler full of beverages and basket of snacks and enjoy an evening of music at the arts center, 2001 N. Ewing St., Seymour. The event is free, but the center will take up donations.

Other dates and artists are TOG Band, June 5; Blind Ambition, June 12; open mic night, June 19; Lom Win and Mojo Soul, June 26; and The Reunion Band, July 10.
