Volunteers needed for park tasks

The Heritage Park committee is seeking volunteers to help with tasks at the new Brownstown park.

Pushing wheelbarrows, carrying boards and planting flowers and trees will be among the tasks, which hope to begin within the next couple of weeks.

Interested volunteers may sign up at Brownstown Town Hall, 200 W. Walnut St., and provide your name, address, phone number and email address.

After Monday night’s town council meeting, which starts at 5:30 p.m. at town hall, the Heritage Park committee will meet with plans to sign the contract to have Recreation Unlimited of Noblesville assemble a pavilion at the park along East Walnut Street. That company is ordering the prefabricated steel structure from Americana Building Products of Salem, Illinois.
