DELAND, Fla.

Jack Nicholson, 83, of Deland, Florida, formally from Sparksville, passed away Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015.

Born Oct. 8, 1931, in Sparksville, he was the son of Raymond and LaVon Nicholson. 

Jack was born and raised in Sparksville. He served in the U.S. Navy in the early 1950s.

Survivors include his wife Dixie; son, Moreland; and brother Noah Stodghill of Indianapolis. 

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Monty Lee Nicholson.

Jack chose cremation. A memorial service will be in mid March. 

Arrangements were handled through Compassionate Cremations Inc.,  Winter Springs, Florida.
