Cougars finish season with win
INDIANAPOLIS
The Trinity Lutheran girls basketball team concluded their season Monday with a 65-49 victory at Indianapolis Lutheran.
In the first quarter, the Cougars jumped to an early 19-9 lead.
The Saints scored 20 points in the second quarter to bring the deficit to 33-29 at halftime.
The Cougars outscored the Saints 20-10 in the fourth quarter to win their third-straight game.
Freshman Maddie Roark led the Cougars with 23 points while Sydney Stuckwisch added 13 and Hailley Peters notched 11.
Both Stuckwisch and Peters finished with double-doubles on the night grabbing 13 and 12 rebounds each. The Cougars had 41 rebounds on the night.
Trinity Lutheran (11-12) drew a first-round bye in the West Washington sectional and will face the winner of Medora-Orleans on Feb. 13.
