Ernest “Bob” Brown, 82, of Norman, died at 5:14 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2015, at his residence.

He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church at Medora and was retired from Cummins Engine Co. in Seymour. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War and loved NASCAR racing, hunting, fishing and the outdoors.

Born April 1, 1932, in Lawrence County, he was the son of Ralph Oscar Brown and Lula Mary Fulps Brown, both of whom preceded him in death. On March 26, 1955, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Medora, he married Bonnie England Brown, who survives.

Other survivors include a son, Max Allen (Angie) Brown of Seymour; daughters, Vickie (Nick) Hubbard and Zirita (Mike) Roberts, all of Bedford; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; brothers, Earl (Janice) Brown and Eugene Brown, all of Bedford; and three sisters, Irene (Bob) Sexton of Florida, Mary Alice (Donnie) Coffey of Vallonia and Evelyn Owens of Florida

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Randy Brown; a grandson, Jared Scott Hubbard; two brothers, Ray Brown and Rocky Brown; and two sisters, Anna Faye Stevens and Betty Sue Brown.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hague Funeral Home in Medora with the Rev. Jack Belk officiating. Burial will follow at Weddleville Lutheran Cemetery in Medora. Graveside full military rites will be conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled Veterans 47, Korean and Vietnam Veterans, all of Seymour.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until time Saturday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church or Disabled Veterans Wish Foundation of Indiana in care of the funeral home.
