Brownstown Central, Seymour, Trinity Lutheran

Three county schools competed at Angel Mounds in the Evansville Mater Dei Regional on Saturday morning as Brownstown Central, Seymour, and Trinity Lutheran runners were seeking a trip to the state finals.

Shane and Chance Ratliff were able to advance individually for the Braves. Shane finished 23rd with a time of 15:58.9, while Chance ended in 33rd with a 16:08.8. Eli Crockett finished 77th but did not qualify as Brownstown Central finished 14th as a team with a score of 417.

Seymour’s boys’ team finished in 18th with a score of 450. Micah Jablonski had the highest finish for the team with 84th place. Oliver Eggersman finished the race in 157th for Trinity Lutheran as he was their only competitor on the boys’ side.

Girls

Gracie Adams had the best performance for the Lady Owls with a 44th place finish, clocking a time of 20:24.9. Izabellah Long followed with 88th place, while AnnMarie Shuler finished in 94th for Seymour.

Kaylee Steward led the way for Brownstown Central with 51st place, followed by Trinity Cody, who finished in 174th.

Cheyenne Campbell finished in 151st for Trinity Lutheran with a time of 22:43.3.

Crothersville

The Tigers wrapped up their cross-country season on Saturday in the IHSAA Shelbyville Regional meet. The boys finished in 24th place with a team score of 678.

Dirk Crater had the best performance with 126th place, clocking a time of 17:43.1. Beau Napier ended his race in 174th with a time of 18:21.9. Kolton Blevins (205th), Braxton Riley (228th), Kaleb Moeller (229th), Brayden Heath (237th), and Joshua Reynolds (241st) rounded out the finishes for Crothersville.

Noblesville won the meet with a team score of 45, while Hamilton Southeastern finished in second and Franklin Central ended in 3rd.

IHSVCA Academic All-State

12 local girls and a manager were selected to the Indiana High School Volleyball Coaches Association academic all-state team on Monday evening. Brownstown Central, Trinity Lutheran, and Seymour had four girls each who made the team.

Addison Darlage, Haley Derringer, Kinzee Dean, and Noelani McPherson made the cut for the Lady Braves.

Ava Blomenberg, Carson Bowling, Laura Roeder, and Madison Keith were chosen for the Lady Cougars. Manager Will Gausmann earned a spot on the support staff team.

Abby Followell, Emerson Johnson, Greer Henry, and Kenzie Gagner all made the team for the Lady Owls.
