Donald Gene Combs, 87, of Seymour In passed away Monday, October 21, 2024, at U of L Trauma Center, Louisville, Kentucky. Born May 21, 1937 in Crockettsville, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Roy and Ola (Riley) Combs.

Gene was a 1956 Austin High School graduate. He retired from Cummins Engine Company after 40 years of service. Gene was a member of the Freetown Church of Christ, Freetown, Indiana.

Gene loved horses, guns and was a trader of all things. He enjoyed family, reminiscing old times, and his Thursday breakfast club.

He was blessed to have two wonderful women in his life. Barbara (Street) Combs and Onee “Jenny” (Fields) Combs who preceded him in death.

He will be missed dearly by his loved ones, near and far, but we have been so graciously blessed by our time with him here.

Visitation will be Saturday 10 am to 2 pm October 26, 2024 at Buchanan Funeral Home.With his funeral following at 2 PM with Rev. Barry DeWitt officiating.

Burial will be in the Spurgeon Cemetery, Austin, Indiana.
