Alan Winslow, 78, of Seymour, Indiana passed away Monday, October 14, 2024, at home. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky on March 4, 1946, to the late Carol and Emily (Gardner) Winslow.

Alan graduated from Salem High School in 1964 and attended Wabash College before enlisting in the United States Navy as a Corpsman. He earned his Bachelor degree and Master of Social Work at the University of Maryland after being honorably discharged from the Navy. He married Camila (Ruiz) Winslow on October 5, 1974, in Bethesda Maryland at the Church of the Little Flower.

Alan was a member of St Ambrose Catholic Church in Seymour and Agape men’s prayer group in Salem. He regularly volunteered at Autumn Trace and Covered Bridge nursing homes for hospice and elder care. His hobbies included reading, writing for the Seymour Tribune, running, walking, working in the yard, and traveling with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Camila Winslow; his daughter, Camila Cristina (Kyle) Seely; son, Matthew Alan Winslow; brothers, Caroll D. (Marian) Winslow and Vance (Nancy) Winslow; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, listed above; and his brother, Lonnie Winslow.

A funeral Mass for Alan will be held at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Seymour, Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. Father Dan Staublin and Deacon Mike East will officiate. Friends may call at Voss &Sons Funeral and Cremation Service, 316 N. Chestnut Street, Seymour, on Monday, October 21, beginning at 3:45 p.m. with a Rosary Prayer Service, followed by visitation from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The family has chosen cremation following the service. Alan will be laid to rest in Crown Hill Cemetery, Salem, Indiana at a future date.

Memorial contributions in Alan’s honor may be made out to St. Ambrose Catholic Church of Seymour.
