Seymour
The Owls finished their regular season on Thursday night, defeating Bedford North Lawrence 1-0 behind the lone goal from Marckenson Paul.
Bartolome Sebastian found Paul for the game-winning score in the 45th minute. Lance Hubbard recorded one save to hold the Stars scoreless and earn their 6th shutout of the season.
Seymour wrapped up their season with an 11-5 overall record and a 4-2 HHC record and third place finish in the conference standings.
Seymour will face New Albany in Sectionals on Wednesday at Jennings County High School at 7 p.m.

The Cougars wrapped up their regular season with a 4-1 victory over Hauser on Thursday evening. Kade Gillaspy scored twice, while John Harris and Alex Damon added the other goals. Harris had two assists, while Damon had another.
Ezra VanCuren recorded 6 saves for the team.
Trinity Lutheran will face Southwestern (Hanover) in the Southwestern (Shelbyville) Sectional on Wednesday, Oct. 9th at 7 p.m.

The Lady Owls grabbed a much needed win on Thursday against Columbus East, defeating the Olympians 4-0 behind a hat-trick from Katy Roark. The junior scored three goals and sophomore Ella Brock added the other for the team.
Kenzi Henkle recorded an assist. Maggie Calhoun (2) and Dhmara Aguilar (1) combined for their first shutout of the season with 3 combined saves.
It’s the third win of the season for the team, heading into the postseason with a 3-14 record.
Seymour will be at Jeffersonville for sectional play against New Albany on Tuesday, Oct. 8th at 7 p.m.

Trinity Lutheran
The Cougars found themselves in an absolute battle on Thursday night at Providence, defeating the Pioneers in five thrilling sets.
Providence is back-to-back Class 3A State Champions and has moved up to Class 4A with the ‘success factor’. Class 1A #1 Trinity won the match, 25-18, 15-25, 25-22, 22-25, and 15-8, improving to 18-6 on the 2024 season.
From Aug. 31st to now, Trinity has won 14-of-15 games and is currently on an 8-game winning streak heading into today’s match with Bloomington South.
The match will be at Trinity Lutheran and will begin at 9 a.m.

The Lady Tigers defeated Columbus Christian on Thursday night in Crothersville, defeating the Crusaders in three sets, 25-12, 25-16, and 25-16.
Hayden Pilgrim had 2 aces to lead the team, followed by Grace Smith who had 1. Pilgrim also led the team in kills with 6 of them in the in. Brooklyn Bottorff had 4 kills for Crothersville.
The Tigers will travel to New Washington for a match on Monday at 7:30 p.m.

Trinity’s Addison Darlage committs to IU Columbus
The Lady Cougars had another player announce their plans to continue their athletic career at the next level on Tuesday. Addison Darlage will be attending IU Columbus.
She is one of the greatest setters in school history, recording 3,743 assists and counting. The senior also has 215 aces and 271 kills in her ongoing career.
Former Trinity volleyball player transferring to IU Columbus
Trinity graduate and volleyball player Ruthie Bingham announced on Thursday that she would be transferring from Mount St. Joseph University to IU Columbus.
