The Jackson County Chamber will host a debate at 7 p.m. today between the Democrat and Republican candidates for the Indiana District 69 state representative seat.

Incumbent Jim Lucas, R-Seymour, and contender Trish Whitcomb, a Seymour Democrat, have both agreed to participate in the debate which will be held in the Earl D. Prout Auditorium at Seymour High School. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

Jackson County Chamber and the Jackson County Visitor Center are hosting the debate, which is free and open to the public. The debate also available live on The Tribune’s Facebook page at .facebook.com/seymourtribune/.
