Brownstown Central

The Lady Braves grabbed another conference victory on Tuesday, defeating the Corydon Central Panthers in straight sets, 25-5, 25-12, and 25-15 to improve to 16-1 on the season.

Alex Davidson led the team with 5 aces, followed by 2 from Olivia Fritz and Jaydynn Yeadon. Sophie Wischmeier recorded 17 kills, followed by Kinzee Dean’s 9.

The JV team won in three sets over the Panthers, 14-25, 25-11, and 15-11 to secure the victory.

Brownstown Central will go to New Albany for a tournament on Saturday.

The Lady Tigers hosted Rock Creek on Tuesday evening, falling to the opponent, 25-22, 26-24, and 25-18. The win was the first for Rock Creek on the season.

Zoey Prince and Brooklyn Bottorff led the team in aces (2), while Bottorff also led the team in kills (8). Prince had the second most (6) for the team on Tuesday.

Crothersville travels to South Central for a match tonight at 6 p.m.

Lilian Hatchett and Josie Bowers both led the team in aces (4), while Brelee Underwood led the team in kills (18), followed by Hatchett’s 12.

Medora currently sits at 3-10 and will host Lighthouse Christian Academy on Friday at 7 p.m. The team then hosts the Christian Academy of Indiana on Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m.

The Lady Owls traveled to face Floyd Central for an HHC girls’ soccer matchup on Tuesday. Seymour fell to the Highlanders 2-0. The loss puts the Owls at 1-10 on the season and 0-3 in Hoosier Hills Conference play.

Goalkeeper Maggie Calhoun had 8 saves in the game. The team travels to Bedford North Lawrence for a match tonight at 7 p.m.

Floyd Central 2, Seymour 0

Trinity Lutheran

The Lady Cougars traveled south to face Shawe Memorial on Tuesday evening, falling to the Hilltoppers 7-0, behind 5 second half goals from Shawe.

Trinity Lutheran will host Salem tonight at 6 p.m.
