Brownstown Central

The Lady Braves competed with Bedford North Lawrence at Otis Park Golf Course on Thursday night. Emma Endris of BNL earned medalist honors with a 38. The Stars won the meet 159 to 205 over Brownstown Central.

BC was led by Abby Schroer’s 45 and Khloe Lingenfelter’s 46. Jayda Clodfelder scored a 54, while Claire Brelage had a 60. Kayleigh Jernigan carded a 62, while Mairi Shaw had a 64 and Kinsley Schroeder recorded a 67.

Brownstown competes at Shadowood in the Mid-Southern Conference tournament today at 1 p.m.

The Lady Owls battled with Madison and Jennings County on Thursday night, finishing in second place, while Madison won the meet with a team score of 184. Seymour scored a 197, while Jennings County had a 219.

Katie Cottrill had the best round for the Owls with a 46. Emmy Followell had a 47, while Shana Spray ended with a 48. Emily Windley carded a 56 and Caroline Dennis finished with a 57.

The Lady Owls will compete at Valley View Golf Course in the Hoosier Hills Conference Meet on Monday.

Trinity Lutheran

The Cougars secured a win over Henryville on Thursday, defeating the Hornets 3-2 to grab their fourth win of the year. Jack Stuckwisch defeated his opponent in the No.1 singles match, 6-1, and 6-1.

Both doubles teams won their match for Trinity Lutheran.

Nathan Finke and Jonathan Neawedde defeated Brody White and Myles Bledsoe, 6-1 and 6-1. Will Gausmann and Reed Roeder won their match, 6-0, and 6-2.

Trinity competes at Southwestern (Hanover) this morning at 9 a.m.

The Owls swept Indian Creek on Thursday in boys’ tennis. Seymour No. 1 Parker Thompson defeated Grant Dalton, whle Carter Stein won his match over Nick Winters.

Dane Thompson won his meeting with Grayson Taylor, while Shun Takeuchi and Joel Stevens won their match over Trevor Cravens and Mason Frische.

Xavier DuBois and Braylon Busby won their matchup with AJ Emenhiser and Aaron Hickson.

Seymour competes in the Shelbyville Invitational this morning at 9 a.m.

Brownstown secured a solid win over Bedford North Lawrence on Thursday evening, winning 3-2. Smith Hackman and Chase Brock won their singles matches over the Stars.

Lane Steward and Max Peters won their doubles matchup over Neal Patel and Orion Hadden.

Brownstown Central will host Salem on Monday and then travel to Trinity Lutheran on Tuesday for a match at 4:30 p.m.

The Owls picked up another Hoosier Hills Conference victory on Thursday, defeating New Albany 2-1.

Kayden Cox found the back of the net in the 11th minute. Marckenson Paul scored in the opening minutes of the second half making the difference in the one score game. Myles Chandler and Bartolome Sebastian recorded the assists.

Lance Hubbard recorded 3 saves in goal for the Owls.

The JV team dropped their game 1-0.

Seymour hosts Floyd Central on Tueday evening for another conference matchup.

The Owls fell to New Albany 3-1 on Thursday night. Seymour’s lone goal came from Kenzi Henkle, off an assist from Rochiely Zarate-Gibson.

Maggie Calhoun picked up 5 saves in goal for the Owls.

Seymour hosts Silver Creek for a match this morning at 11:30 a.m.

The Lady Cougars tied Hauser on the soccer field last night with a 1-1 final score.
