Loretta (Burdine) Hawn-Holt, 77, passed away after a brief illness at IU Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, on Monday, September 9, 2024. She was born September 10, 1946 in Crab Orchard, Kentucky to the late Grover and Mary Jane (Neal) Burdine.

Loretta graduated from Brownstown High School and went on to enjoy a 30-year quality-control career at Aisin Automotive. She was an avid flower gardener and was known for growing Christmas cactuses, her specialty. She loved to sew, quilt and crochet, and is remembered for sewing many masks during the pandemic. She enjoyed scrapbooking and took pictures of everything! Loretta and her beloved husband Ronald loved to travel, especially out west; Yellowstone was one of her favorite destinations. She enjoyed visiting Mackinac Island, Michigan, too. She was a woman of faith, a competitive mushroom hunter, and loved her cats. But by far, her greatest passion in life was her family. They were the focus of her life and her greatest joy.

Left behind to cherish Loretta’s memory are her beloved husband, Ronald Holt; her children, James (Jerri) Hawn, Kim (Phil) Ingalls, Kristie (Chris) Graybeal, and Joey Holt; grandchildren, Samantha Brown, Hannah (Kory) Erwin, Zack Hawn, Olivia Lee, Ally (Fred) Elam, Wyatt Houk, Sierra (Dakota) Westmoreland, and Devin Graybeal; ten great grandchildren; and her siblings, Leroy Burdine, Lenard Burdine, Larry Burdine, Linda Abner, Leona Taskey, Jacque Gerbig, Mary Rose Applegate, Sharon Wilde, and Patty Bowling.

She is preceded in death by her parents, listed above; and her granddaughter, Brooke Hawn.

Funeral services for Loretta will be held Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Voss and Sons Funeral Home, 316 North Chestnut Street, Seymour.
