Library offers free adult, teen programs in September

The Jackson County Public Library will hold free programs for teens and adults at all locations in September.

Adults ages 18 and older can attend a Putting our Garden to Bed program by Purdue Extension Educator Richard Beckort at 5 p.m. Sept. 16, upstairs at the Seymour Library. Registration is required by Sept. 12 and is limited to 20.

Adults also may join the wait list for Seymour craft programs, Beaded Indian Corn, at 3 p.m. Sept. 18, and Popsicle Stick Scarecrow, at 5 p.m. Sept. 19.

Beaded Indian Corn registration is open for programs at 3 p.m. Sept. 11 at the Crothersville Library, and at 3 p.m. Sept. 12, at the Medora Library. Branch programs are limited to 10 adults. Registration is required by Sept. 9 at Crothersville and Sept. 10 at Medora.

Teens in grades 6 through 12 can register for Silent Library at 5 p.m. Sept. 5 at the Seymour Library. Registration is required by Sept. 3 and is limited to 10. Teens also may register for Dungeons Dragons at 4 p.m. Sept. 24, at the Seymour Library. Registration is required by 9/20 and is limited to 10.

Adults, teens, and children of all ages can help celebrate Good Neighbor Day on Saturday, September 28, at the Seymour Library by making a pop-up card and treat for a neighbor while supplies last.
