Brownstown Central, Trinity Lutheran

The Lady Braves hosted Trinity Lutheran, Paoli, and West Washington on Monday night at Hickory Hills Golf Course in Brownstown.

The Braves secured the meet win with a team score of 197. Led by scores of 44 from Abby Schroer and Khloe Lingenfelter. Jayda Clodfelder scored a 50, Mairi Shaw recorded a 59, Kayleigh Jernigan ended with a 62, while Claire Brelage carding a 63. Kinsley Schroeder ended with a 67 for the team.

Trinity’s Jennifer Jones ended her round with a 68. West Washington recorded a team score of 249.

Girls Soccer

The Lady Owls traveled to Batesville on Monday for a girls’ soccer match. Batesville won the meet with a 5-0 victory. Dhamara Aguilar recorded 10 saves for Seymour, while Maggie Calhoun had 5 saves in the net for the team. The team fell to 1-3 on the season.

Seymour will travel to Oldenburg to compete in the Panther Classic on Friday and Saturday.

Boys’ Tennis

Brownstown Central

The Braves matched up with Silver Creek on Monday evening. Losing the match with the Dragons 4-1. Brownstown fell to 2-3 on the 2024 season.

The No. 1 doubles team of Pierson Wheeler and Lane Steward picked up the lone victory for the Braves over Cohen Cissell and Masin Chanley, 7-5, 6-0.

The Cougars picked up their second win of the season on Monday night over Indianapolis Lutheran. Trinity won the meeting 4-1, winning every match but No. 2 singles.

Jonathan Neawedde made his return to the team at No. 1 doubles with his partner in Nathan Finke, the team swept Matthew Naig and Braylon Stump, 6-0, 6-0.

Darlage up for Indiana MaxPreps Athlete of the Week

Trinity’s Addison Darlage has gotten off to a remarkable start in the 2024 season, currently leading the entire state in volleyball assists (194).

Darlage is up for Indiana Athlete of the Week after her 44 assists against Castle and 39 against Center Grove.

Kimar Nelson (Fort Wayne), Corbin Thackery (North Decatur), Marco Castro (Kankakee Valley), Christian Kramer (North Putnam), Keira Lucas (Northview), and Noah Moore (White River Valley) are the other athletes up for consideration.
