The Jackson County Public Library will be closed Sept. 2 for the Labor Day holiday in Seymour and Crothersville.

The Jackson County Public library’s Discovery Bus also is off the road that day. While no materials are due Labor Day, customers may use the materials’ returns at the Seymour, Crothersville, and Medora libraries.

Access to materials is always available to library cardholders when the library is closed through the Indiana Digital Library at www.myjclibrary.org/ overdrive or via the Libby app, on hoopla at www.hoopladigital.com or the hoopla app, on kanopy at myjclibrary.kanopy. com/ or the kanopy app, or on The Shelf TV at theshelf.tv/en/landing or on The Shelf app.

The Seymour and Medora libraries and the Discovery Bus will reopen Sept. 3 with fall programs starting that day. Crothersville Library will reopen Sept. 4.

The Brownstown Public Library also will be closed Labor Day along with governmental offices in Brownstown, Crothersville, Medora and Seymour. County governmental offices will be closed that day as well.
