County council to meet Wednesday

The Jackson County Council is set to meet at 8 a.m. Wednesday at the courthouse, 111 S. Main St., Brownstown.

New business on the agenda includes discussions on additional appropriation as well as IT improvement for the public defender and prosecutor’s offices, and a talk on an ambulance building remodel and vehicle repair budget concerns by Jackson County EMS Executive Director Nate Bryant. Also, JL Brewer (JRAC) and Dan Davis (Community Foundation) will speak on the use of opioid funds for matching grant dollars.

Council meetings are open to the public and press.
