Sounds of Summer performing a “Say-goodbye-to-Summer” show

Sounds of Summer, a Beach Boys tribute band will be performing a say-goodbye-to-summer show at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 13 at the nonprofit North Vernon Park Theatre Civic Centre, 25 N. Madison Ave.

Tickets are $15 and may be purchased in advance at the theater’s box office. Cash and checks only are accepted. The box office is open 2 to 5 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. If tickets remain, they will be sold at the door the night of the concert.

The group features four North Vernon native musicians: Connor Ertel, guitar and bass, Eric Wernke, drums and percussion, David Ertel, keyboards, and Matt Hurley, bass and guitar.

They will sing live renditions of popular songs such as “Little Deuce Coup,” “Surfer Girl,” “Sloop John B,” “In My Room,” “Don’t Worry Baby,” “Surfin’ USA” and other famous Beach Boy songs.

“Sounds of Summer always put on a fabulous concert when they perform at our theater,” said Patti Yount, Park Theatre board chair. “We advise people to get your tickets early and don’t risk none being left. This is going to be a wonderful Beach Boys say-goodbye-to-summer show that fans of good live music will not want to miss.”
