COLUMBUS — Mill Race Theatre Company and the Columbus Indiana Philharmonic will present a special collaborative production of Roald Dahl’s “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” from June 18-20, 2025, in the Judson S. Erne Auditorium at Columbus North High School.

Tickets are currently available now through the purchase of an MRTC 2024-25 season ticket, which can be done online at millracetheatre.org. Individual show ticket sales will be made available in the spring of 2025.

“Roald Dahl’s Charlie & the Chocolate Factory” is an updated musical tale of young Charlie Bucket on a deliciously delightful adventure through Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory.

It has many of your favorite songs from the original film, but with a new age twist. For example, Mike Teavee now is on social media and gum-chewing Violet Beauregarde is the “Queen of Pop.”

The show is based on the novel by Roald Dahl, with the book by David Grieg, music by Marc Shaiman, lyrics by Scott Wittman and Marc Shaiman and songs from the motion picture by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley.
