Libertarian county council at-large candidate on the ballot for upcoming election

A Medora man is officially on the ballot for county council at-large in the upcoming fall election.

Libertarian Stephen Crawford’s name was previously left off the ballot due to an error in the clerk’s office earlier this year.

Republicans R. Brett Turner, John L. Nolting and Amanda Cunningham Lowery, previously uncontested in the county council at-large race, will now face off against Crawford.

No Democrats are listed on the ballot, which means six GOP candidates for county-wide offices — along with recently appointed County Auditor Hans Eilbracht — will take office Jan. 1. Those candidates are Jackson Circuit Judge Richard D. Poynter, Treasurer Kathy S. Hohnstreiter, Coroner Paul Foster, Surveyor Daniel Blann, District I Commissioner Drew Markel and District 2 Commissioner Drew Storey.

Crawford is a graduate of Brownstown Central High School, works in IT at Brownstown Electric Supply Co. and is the treasurer of the Jackson Co. Libertarian Party.
