The Chasing Bubbles Foundation recently announced the fourth annual Alex Rust Regatta (ARR!), a pirate-themed celebration of sailing and adventure set to take place Aug. 10 at Eagle Creek in Indianapolis.

This swashbuckling adventure promises a day filled with fun and excitement, and the foundation invites all sailing enthusiasts and supporters of youth empowerment to participate.

The foundation is dedicated to helping kids around the world chase their dreams through sailing and adventure.

Inspired by Captain Alex Rust, whose sailing journey in the S/V Bubbles is documented in the film “Chasing Bubbles,” the foundation supports the education and empowerment of children, teaching them essential life skills and fostering confidence on the water and in life.

Their mission is to carry forward Alex’s legacy by empowering kids to chase their dreams. The Seymour native’s life tragically ended at the age of 28, when he traveled to India, looking for ways to help kids.

A fun-filled day has been planned on the water and will feature paddle races (kayak, canoe and paddleboards), a special BYOB (Build Your Own Boat) competition and an afternoon sail & raft-up.
