VALLONIA

Kim Carter Kaufman, 66, passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2024, in Jackson County. He was born April 6, 1958, in Seymour, Indiana to the late Edna (Kloecker) Kaufman.

Kim was well known for his many years of service as Manager of Big O Tires in Seymour. He had a love of cars and could always be found working on a vehicle. A skilled mechanic, he retired early at age 62 and had plenty of time for tinkering. Kim loved to go fast and had a passion for riding his 2002 Harley Davidson Fat Boy motorcycle.

He was an avid deer hunter and passed on his love of the outdoors to his children. He cherished his family and was always there for every big moment, such as graduations, proms, and weddings. But his greatest legacy will be his tremendous work ethic and how hard he worked every day to provide for his family.

Kim is survived by his children, Rocky (Katie) Kaufman, Kimberly (Nate) Neeley, April (Joshua) Pugh, and Austin (Kassi) Kaufman; grandchildren, Hunter and Carter Kaufman, Nathan Jr. and Shaina Neeley, Coltan and Eastin Kaufman, and Josephine Pugh; brother, Jeff Kaufman Sr; brother-in-law, Ed Hammons; and several nephews.

He is preceded in death by his mother; sister, Dawn Hammons; and sister-in-law, Linda Kaufman.

Funeral services for Kim were held today, July 11, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Voss and Sons Funeral Home, 316 North Chestnut Street, Seymour with Rev. Dr. Ralph Blomenberg officiating. Burial immediately followed at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Seymour.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Kim’s honor may be made to the family, in care of Richard Kaufman, to help defray costs. You are invited to visit our website, vossfuneralservice.com, to leave condolences or share a memory.
