BROWNSTOWN — Firefighters from several departments responded to a fire Wednesday morning in an unoccupied home in Ewing.

The fire in the home located on 0.24 of an acre at 122 S. Depot St. was reported around 3 a.m.

Firefighters with Brownstown Fire Department were assisted by firefighters from several surrounding volunteer fire departments.

That home, which has set empty for years, is owned by Modesto Alvarado-Reyes of rural Seymour, according to property tax records.
