Friends of the Library sale July 13

The Friends of the Jackson County Public Library will hold its bi-monthly sale 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 13 in the meeting room of the Seymour Library at 303 W. Second St.

The sale is a week later than normal due to the Fourth of July holiday weekend.

Special Friends-members-only sales will be from 4 to 5:30 p.m. July 12 and 10 to 10:30 a.m. July 12.

Any specials during the sale will be announced before the sale via social media. Regular item sale prices are adult hardbacks, softbound books, DVD movies, and music CDs for $1 and children’s books and small paperbacks for $.50.

From 2 to 4 p.m. July 13 shoppers may use a provided bag to fill for $5. Anyone unable to visit the sale can shop from the ongoing sales in the Seymour Library Book Nook or sales carts at the Crothersville and Medora libraries during regular library hours. Donations for the sales are accepted during regular library hours.

Monetary or item donations without membership or purchases also are welcomed.

Anyone interested in becoming a Friend of the Library or renewing their annual membership for 2024 will find the forms at the sale, at the checkout desks or at myjclibrary.org/friends. Annual dues are $5 for individuals, $10 for family, $25 for donor, and $50 for benefactor.
