USSSA Weekend Results

Two area teams competed in the United States Specialty Sports Association baseball tournaments or state championships over the past weekend.

Brownstown Impact

The Brownstown Impact won the USSSA Coach Pitch State Championship in the 6AA Division. The tournament took place in Edinburgh, with the team defeating the Smithville Scrappers 14-2 in the first game of the bracket, before defeating the Zionsville Baseball Club 11-3 to secure the championship.

Members of the team are as follows; Oakley Fritz, Connor Brooks, Henry Rotert, Knox Otte, Miles Lambring, Dawson Cole, Layne Mails, Shade Young, Gatlin Stillabower, Gus Fritz, Kasen Markel, Paxton Rotert, and Gentry Goshorn.

The Impact are coached by Travis Otte, Richard Rotert, Chris Lambring, and Matt Rotert.

Seymour Diamondbacks

The Seymour Diamondbacks won the USSAA Ohio Valley Super Regionals 9U AA Championship over the weekend. The team defeated the Smithville Scrappers 6-2, before defeating the Diesel 9U Red Team out of Columbus 14-3.

Members of the team are as follows; Brantley Toppe, Colt Brough, Caleb Wheatley, Colton Coates, Brody Allman, Grant Wheatley, Sawyer Sheldon, Carter Otte, Ryan Wetzel, Eli Hiten, and Zac Pollert.

The Diamondbacks are coaches by Jacob Toppe, Will Otte, Josh Sheldon, and Dustin Hiten.
