The Columbus City Band will present their annual patriotic “Concert in the Park” at 2 p.m. June 30 at Heritage Park just off the north side of the courthouse square in downtown Brownstown.
The concert will feature an hour-long program, highlighting several patriotic pieces in honor of the upcoming Fourth of July weekend.
Those attending the concert will be able to enjoy a shaded canopy tent , but if some want to bring their own shade, they are welcome to do so.
The 60-member band will do three outdoor concerts during the summer season with two concerts in Brownstown.
There is no charge for the concert and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
Paige Chadwick of North Vernon is the director of the band, which features many musicians from Jackson County.
In the event of inclement weather, 7 p.m. July 1 will be a rain date at the same location.
