The 27th biennial Schafstall family reunion is open to all descendants, friends and families of Henry and Mary Newkirk Schafstall. Their daughters were Sophia Helwig, Adeline Schafstall, Anna Schafstall, Caroline “Carrie” Wente, Clara Trimpe, Mary Trimpe, Myrtle Kruse, Cordelia Stockamp, Ethel Dringenburg and Lillian Rust.

The reunion will be from noon to 4 p.m. Aug. 11 at the Hamilton Township Volunteer Fire Department station in Cortland. The address is 6843 N. County Road 400E, Seymour.

A pitch-in lunch with meat, table service and water will be provided. There will be a brief business meeting and for children, there will be a large, inflatable water slide.
