The 78th annual reunion of Andrew Morton and Flora Dell Oathout was held May 19 at the Honeytown Christian Church with 24 members present.

Tom Ritz read a writing about memories, and then gave the invocation for the pitch-in dinner.

A brief business meeting was conducted by President Tim Marshall. Officers for 2025 are Marshall, president; Gordon Surenkamp, vice president; and Brenda Henry, secretary/treasurer.

A roll call — naming the branch of the family each member was from — was taken with the Walter Oathout family having six, Ralph Oathout family having seven and Frank Oathout family having eleven.

Deaths reported were Dorothy J. McDonald on Sept. 12, 2023 and Catherine L. Surenkamp on Dec. 23, 2023.

Births were Olivia Grace Warren, born Sept. 9, 2023, parents Luke and Meghan Warren; Carter Schafstall, parent Mason Schafstall; Stevie McCary, parent Lisa Mann; Ella Grace Mellencamp, born Mar. 28, 2024, parents Emily Mowery and Thomas Mellencamp; and Aurora Tunny, born May 7, 2024, parents Jessica and Dillon Tunny.

Marriages were Taylor and Austin Brannaman on Apr. 20, 2024 and Mason and Morgan Schafstall on Oct., 2023.

Present were Haold and Bobbie Garland, Larry and Sue Isaacs, Greg Isaacs, Chase Guinn, Barry and Angie Guinn, Angie Fimreite, Gordon Surenkamp, Herrell and Judy Acton, Rick and Alberta Schafstall, Brenda and Morgan Henry, John and Pat Shufflebarger, Tom and Barbara Ritz, Sandra Warren, Tim Marshall and Tyson Marshall.

The 2025 reunion will be May 18 at Honeytown Christian Church. All family and friends are welcome.
