Every year the Jackson County Co-op Credit Union awards scholarships to select high school seniors and/or college undergraduates to help them further their education and pursue a college degree.
Applicants must be an accredited high school senior or a full-time college freshman or sophomore, and be an active member of the Jackson County Co-op Credit Union.
Local residents receiving scholarships this year are:
Claire Burbrink, a senior at Terre Haute South Vigo High School, who will be attending Purdue University.
Misty Elliott, who is currently studying elementary education at Pensacola Christian College.
Eli Lane, a senior at Medora High School, who will be attending Eastern Kentucky University.
Max Maschino, a senior at Jennings County High School, who will be attending Purdue University.
Kelsey Schneider, a senior at Brownstown Central High School, who will be attending DePauw University.
Evan Shuler, a senior at Trinity Lutheran High School, who will be attending Franklin College.
Caitlin Thomasma, who is currently studying social work at Ball State University.
Delaney Thomasma, a senior at Seymour High School, who will be attending International Busniess College of Indianapolis.
