The Brownstown Public Library has announced adult programs for June.
The Adult Book Club will meet at 1 p.m. June 14 to discuss “28 Summers” by Elin Hilderbrand.
The book explores the agony and romance of a man and woman’s one-weekend-per-year affair and the dramatic ways this relationship complicates and enriches their lives, and the lives of the people they love.
The club provides an informal, congenial atmosphere for patrons over 18 to share their interpretations of the current book selection. Everyone should read the month’s selection, but may attend even if you haven’t finished the book as long as you don’t mind hearing how the book ends. Everyone is encouraged to participate in the discussion, but listeners are welcome.
Light refreshments are served by individuals from the group on a volunteer basis. Extra copies of the book selection are available one month in advance at the circulation desk.
Craft Night will be held at 5 p.m. June 20. Participants will partake in iris paper folding. The class is limited to 10 as supplies and space are limited.
Crochet and Chat will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. June 27. Join fellow crocheters for an hour of crocheting and chatting. Knitters are welcome. Some basic crochet instruction can be provided if needed.
Registration is required for adult programs and may be done at the circulation desk or by calling 812-358-2853.
