David Ray Eggert, 23, passed away at 12:45 a.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, in Bunker Hill, IN.

A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service. Rev. Frank McGee will officiate. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until the start of the service at the funeral home.

Born on April 23, 2001, in Columbus, David was the loving son of Stephen David Eggert and Candy (Cross) Eggert.

David had been apart of the wrestling team during school. He enjoyed fishing and collecting rocks. David loved being in the woods and climbing trees. He liked to read books and drawing in his spare time. David had recently been baptized on his birthday, he will be remembered by all who knew and loved him by the loving and caring person he was.

In addition to his mother, Candy Eggert of North Vernon, survivors include daughter, Aubrey Loos of Foley, MO; sister, Lacy Cross of Lehigh Acres, FL; nephew, Liam Collins of Lehigh Acres, FL; uncles, Kevin (Donna) Cross of North Vernon, Blane Lee Cross of Westport, and Shawn Michael Cross of North Vernon; aunt, Angela Jane Cross of North Vernon; grandfather, Clarence Ray Lewis.

David was preceded in death by his father, Stephen David Eggert; grandmother, Mary Sylvia Lewis; grandfather, Blane Ralph Cross.
