Seymour

The Owls hosted Scottsburg for ‘senior night’ on Monday evening. Bret Perry, Will Kratoska, Jack Pennington, Shotaro Takeuchi, Owen Lauster, Gavin Leavy, and Sam Rockey.

Seymour scored three in the second and five more in the third inning to defeat the Warriors 8-2. It was the 14th win of the season for the Owls. Six errors and ten walks on the mound for Scottsburg hurt the Warriors, as they outhit Seymour 8 to 3.

Brady Harpe pitched six strong innings, allowing seven hits, two runs, none of them earned, and struck out four batters for Seymour.

The Owls will now prepare to face New Albany in the Seymour Sectional today at 7:30 p.m.

Crothersville

The Tigers faced off with Clarksville on Monday night. Crothersville fell to the Generals 7-0 ending their regular season with a 1-16 record.

Clarksville scored four runs in the seventh inning to secure the win.

Dirk Crater, Blake Robinson, and Gavin Weisman recorded the three hits for Crothersville. Lucas Hilton got the start, lasting three innings allowing three hits, and two earned runs. Striking out three in his performance. Crater followed with four innings, allowing one hit, five runs, one of them earned and struck out six batters.

Seymour

The Owls traveled to New Albany for sectionals on Monday evening, dropping the match with the Bulldogs 6-3. A four-run scoring outburst in the top of the seventh inning made the difference for New Albany.

The Owls competed in the Hoosier Hills Conference Tournament on Monday, finishing in sixth place with a team score of 372. Luke Baker earned Conference Honorable Mention for his score of 80, which led the Owls.

Zarik Black followed with a 91, while Kirby Tormoehlen recorded a 99. Noah Wineinger carded a 102, while Paulton Rennekamp scored a 115.

Crothersville

The Tigers competed in the SAC Tournament on Monday evening. Crothersville’s Logen O’Sullivan led the way with a 55, while Beau Napier ended his round with a 63.

Borden won the meet with a score of 162, defeating South Central (181), Lanesville (195) and Henryville (210).

SRC Conference Awards

The Medora Hornets presented their Southern Roads Conference Awards at their banquet last week. The following are all the athletes who were honored.

Hudson Johnson and Damian Salas made all-conference for boys’ basketball, while Jaxon Nugen and Eli Lane made the team as honorable mentions.

Jenna Bowers and Aaralyn Hackney made the girls all-conference team. Bowers also made the SRC All-Academic Team for her hard work in the classroom.

Brelee Underwood was selected as an honorable mention.
