Trinity Lutheran

The Cougars brought the bats out on Thursday evening, run-ruling Clarksville in six innings 14-3. Trinity compiled 11 hits, led by Nathan Finke, Jackson Trueblood, Kowan Gross, and Chase Bode who recorded two each. Finke had the big day at the dish, recording five RBI’s with those hits.

Gross was effective on the mound for the Cougars, pitching six innings allowing five hits and two earned runs, striking out eight batters for the team.

Trinity faced Southport on Friday, before traveling to Edinburgh today at 11 a.m.

The Cougars then prepare for sectionals against Rising Sun on Wednesday at 5 p.m. in the Shawe Memorial Sectional.

Seymour

The Owls matched up with Bedford North Lawrence for their final regular season game of the 2023-24 season. Losing the game with the Stars, 6-1. Bedford recorded 9 hits in the winning effort.

Seymour recorded three hits during the course of the game. Taylor Stuckwisch, EmmaKae Sweet, and Diem Castetter recorded those hits. Sweet recorded the lone RBI.

Stuckwisch pitched for the Owls, going six innings, allowing 9 hits, six earned runs, and striking out four batters in the process.

The Owls face off with New Albany Monday in sectionals at New Albany High School. The game is the second one of the night, beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Brownstown Central

The Lady Braves clashed with Mitchell on Thursday evening, downing the Bluejackets 4-0 to end their regular season. Brownstown scored four runs in the fourth inning to secure the win. Led by Alex Davidson who recorded three hits, while Kelsey Schneider and Brooke Meahl all had two each.

Rylee May got the win on the mound, pitching four innings, allowing two hits and no runs. Schneider relieved May, finishing the final three innings, allowing one hit and no runs. Schneider struck out three batters in the win.

The Lady Braves face off with Southwestern (Hanover) for sectionals on Monday at 6 p.m. Sectionals are at Milan High School this year.
