SEYMOUR

Duane A. VonDielingen, 76, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Covered Bridge Health Campus. He was born December 7, 1947, to the late Arthur and Mildred (Shoemaker) VonDielingen.

Duane was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. He had retired from Schafstall, Inc., after 41 years of service. He served his country proudly and was a veteran of the United States Army. He married Phyllis Wessel on October 5, 1968, and she survives. Duane enjoyed playing golf and woodworking. He loved spending time with his family and especially traveling with his wife and grandchildren.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Phyllis; son, Chris (Heather) VonDielingen; grandchildren, Lucas, Megan, and Riley; brother, Steve (Joyce) VonDielingen, sister, Becky (Dave) Darlage; sister-in-law, Cheryl VonDielingen; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, listed above; and brother, Greg VonDielingen.

Funeral services for Duane will be held Monday, March 18, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 504 N Walnut Street, Seymour. Rev. Andrew Currao and Rev. Zachary Huffman will officiate. Friends and family may visit from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Voss &Sons Funeral Services, 316 North Chestnut Street, Seymour; and again at the church from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service. Duane will be laid to rest immediately following at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
