Semistate Pairings

Brownstown Central found out on Sunday afternoon that they will face Park-Tudor (20-5) at 10 a.m. this Saturday in the Southport Semistate.

The Braves come into the contest with a 25-4 record. A win secures a spot in the semistate final against the winner of Forest Park and Parke Hertiage.

The championship will take place at 8 p.m.

Tickets

Tickets are $12 per session or $20 for the full day. Tickets can be purchased digitally or at the door with credit card (no cash). Full day passes can only be purchased in advance and not at the door.

The Southport gym holds over 7000 people. If you pre-purchase tickets, open your ticket link before you go into the gym as the reception is limited in the gym.

Parking

Fans should park in the East Lot (corner of Banta Rd and Shelby St.) Spectators can enter through Doors 3 and 4 on the north side of the fieldhouse.

Door 9 is restricted for players, officials, and game event staff only

IGBRR Class 1A Honors

The Indiana Girls Basketball Recruiting Report announced their awards from the girls’ 2023-24 season. Trinity Lutheran had some representation from their freshman in Marley Warren.

Warren was selected as the Class 1A Freshman of the Year. She averaged 14.4 points per game along with 4.5 rebounds per game. The freshman also led the team in assists with 51 during the season.

She was also selected to the Class 1A Third-Team All-State

Madison Keith was also on the Third-Team All-State squad. Keith recorded 14 double-doubles in her 16 games played. She averaged 15.2 ppg and 11.7 rebounds a game. Keith was selected as the Trinity Varsity MVP at their banquet last week.

Tabeling named to MAC All-Freshman Team

Trinity Lutheran graduate and star basketball player Bailey Tabeling was named to the MAC All-Freshman Team, which was announced on Tuesday.

The freshman plays for the Ohio Bobcats and had a college career-high 23 points against Syracuse back in December. That night, Tabeling his seven threes for the Bobcats.

She scored 253 total points this season. She averages 8.7 ppg as the Bobcats face off with Ball State in the Mid-American Conference Tournament Quarterfinals today at 4 p.m. The game will be broacasted on Espn+
